Everything about Anastasia On Her Own totally explained

Anastasia on Her Own (1985) is a young-adult novel by Lois Lowry. It is part of a series of books that Lowry wrote about Anastasia and her younger brother Sam.

Plot

Anastasia's mother goes to Hollywood on a business trip, and Anastasia takes over the house. She thinks it's going to be easy work, since she and her father have already made a list. But chaos rises and lists are abandoned: Sam gets chicken pox, the legendary former girlfriend of her father commands a visit, and Anastasia's first date with Steve Harvey goes from gourmet to mess.
